Compassion and compromise go far.
While I do regularly RP darker themes, I have an absolute zero tolerance policy for any OOC assholery.
Racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny and all other bigotry will be met with an immediate block.

IC is not OOC. Do not blur the two, ever. Jinro may dislike your character. This does not mean I dislike you. While Jinro may uphold his own code, he is still an individual who puts number one first. Jinro is authoritarian. This does not mean I condone authoritarianism. Scenes don't always work out as we expect them to. This doesn't reflect on you as a person unless you become a poor sport about it.

This isn't always a no, but I'm a busy guy and I don't do a whole lot of one-on-one RP these days. I actively avoid making many exclusive or personal connections that would require me to be a necessary participant. I often prefer to hand-wave or fade-to-black.
Jinro is a presence of authority due to his status as Oja-kai Oyabun. I don't intend to come off as unapproachable. I only ask that you have a good, plot-motivated reason to want to engage privately.

Tall and broad-shouldered, Jinro carries himself with the weight of his heavy crown, forever looking down on the world from beneath a stern brow. His long, sleek ears are habitually pinned back against his skull, a posture that sharpens his already severe silhouette and gives the impression of a creature perpetually braced for violence.His predatory expression rarely strays from a controlled scowl; his jaw set, his lips parted, just enough to reveal the sharp gleam of gold-capped upper canines. In all that he does, he is deliberate, even, and measured.Yet for all his feral aspects, the viera is immaculate in his formal presentation. He favors fine fabrics cut to emphasize his tall and powerful frame. Sterling jewelry glints against his thick, dark hands, worn for both vanity and statement. His footwear is custom-made, accommodating the unusual digitigrade bend of his lower limbs. While the world was not built with him in mind, he has adapted it to suit his own needs.Long, pitch-black hair is secured with silver cuffs and bindings that keep it from his face as it cascades down his spine; rarely is it worn entirely loose. Pristine discipline is visible, even in the way he grooms himself.
Set into the center of his forehead rests a smooth, blood-orange jewel. Its perpetuity marks it as something far more than ornamentation, though few are bold enough to ask its origin or purpose.His gaze is haunting; serpentine pupils and dark sclera, rimmed by pearlescent irises stained with a rusted hue. The scarlet discoloration waxes and wanes like a living thing, a visible symptom of the power that now answers to him. Those versed in such matters recognize it instantly; the taint of the void, heavy and oppressive, clinging to him like a second shadow.It’s whispered that the beast was born far from the place he now calls home, in the darkest depths of the Golmore Jungle. The sickly Viera child was once deemed unfit for the brutal traditions of his people. When the time came for young males to be sent into the wilds under the watch of older men, a rite from which many never returned, his mother pleaded for his young life. For that defiance, the pair were cast out. Their ears were cut. They were both deemed exiles.
The pair fled to Kugane. She did not live long enough to see him grow strong. At first, her son merely survived.
And then he thrived.
In the years that followed, Jinro forged himself in the underground fighting pits, honing his body and will through blood and brutality.After a near-fatal incident, one that even the bravest do not speak of, he stood at death’s doorstep. When he stepped back from the threshold, he did not do so alone. Something more vicious than he answered his desperate plea, and a pact was made.From that night onward, the wolf ceased to merely survive within the shadows.
He embraced them.
He mastered them.
He became one with them.Now a stoic and highly traditional man, Jinro rules through fear, respect, and unyielding structure. In whispers and bloodstains, his influence has spread, and Oja-kai has risen from the underworld. The syndicate he has built is one forged in hierarchy and loyalty, enforced by power both mortal and void-touched.When he speaks, it is with authority.
